About Solid Rock Apostolic Faith Ministries

Our Beliefs

We are a Sabbath keeping church with the five-fold ministry gifts in full operation.  We have the fear of the Lord which drives our devotion to be in God's perfect will!  Our faith is based on the Apostle's Doctrine. We baptize in the name of Jesus Christ.  Most importantly, we obey the commandments of God.  Solid Rock Apostolic Faith Ministries believes in honoring the Lord's biblical Holy days and not manmade holidays.

the sabbath

We have our praise and worship services on the Sabbath, which is Saturday, the seventh day of the week.  The Bible declares that the Sabbath is blessed and holy.

The feast of tabernacles

During this time each year, our church family cease from our usual labor, and travel together to refresh, give thanks and celebrate the goodness of the Lord in our lives.

The Feast of Tabernacles, also known as Sukkot, is a biblical holiday celebrated for seven days, beginning on the 15th day of the month of Tishrei.

The Israelites were not to focus on work during this period. They were to bring offerings and celebrate by waving branches from four specific plants—etrog (citrus fruit), palms, willows, and myrtles (Leviticus 23:40).

Another name for the Feast of Tabernacles is Booths or Sukkot, which is a Hebrew word that means “booths.” People built and dwelt in sukkahs (booths) or tents instead of permanent houses during their time of wandering in the wilderness.

The Feast of Tabernacles is the only appointed time in which God commands the His chosen people to celebrate and rejoice. That’s why it’s sometimes called the season of rejoicing or the season of joy:

And you shall take for yourselves on the first day the fruit of beautiful trees, branches of palm trees, the boughs of leafy trees, and willows of the brook; and you shall rejoice before the Lord your God for seven days (Leviticus 23:40 NKJV).
